Testimonials

Marshall & Pringle Kaiapoi have been referring some of our challenging surgical cases to Vetspecs for the last 10 years. We have always been impressed by their professionalism, dedication and skills with what are often very complicated cases. Their efforts often exceed 100% and they have become a vital part of the veterinary environment in Christchurch. We have consistently had successful outcomes and very satisfied owners after surgical referrals. We know our patients and owners will get the highest standard of care at Vetspecs.

Dear Helen, Lauren & Luke,

We thought it appropriate to write and thank you for saving the life of Zeena, our treasured little Pomeranian. For many years we anguished over her difficulties in breathing. Our vets were all of the opinion that she had a restriction at the back of her throat. Her breathing became worse when she was anxious about anything in her daily life. We nearly lost her on two or three occasions and it was quite a mission to settle her down again.

After we were referred to your surgery your diagnosis of a collapsing trachea was partly relief and partly concern as to whether you could save her. We were thrilled when your suggestion of inserting a stent obtained from America would give her a good chance of a normal life.

Her breathing has greatly improved after the operation and she now has a good night's sleep; we do too as she sleeps alongside our bed. Zeena has a beautiful nature and never complained throughout her suffering. We cannot thank you enough to know that we, and her other little playmates, can have the pleasure of Zeena for several more years.

- Kind Regards, Cilla & Ian Frost

The care our dog received was the very best, very informative and professional, well beyond the call of duty. Such a high standard of care, that saved our dog, who is still going strong and working.

Many thanks to Helen and staff.

We work on the philosophy that we supply our patients with the best possible treatment we can. Referral is an option we take when we require treatment, diagnostics or advice that we are unable to provide. To this end, Vetspecs has provided us with a referral service that satisfies both our clients’ and our own expectations. It is always nice to get a good result, and the comment of “how nice those people in Christchurch were”.

Five years ago our 16month old Labrador had cancer of the ligaments and soft tissue in his front leg. We were referred to Vetspecs, where Helen went through all of the options. Despite leg amputation being a difficult choice to make, we were confident that this was the right decision and that we had definitely chosen the right person for the operation.

Five years later we still have our beautiful boy, who loves walks, people and chasing balls. Helen and the team were fantastic, both to Bran and his traumatised family.

Our next experience with the lovely people from Vetspecs was with our Pointer who had damaged her cruciate ligament. Once again we had kind and caring service before and after the operation.

Vetspecs are always accessible and able to be easily contacted which I found to be very reassuring when coping with worrying post-op care.

In another instance Helen attended a consultation that she had organised with another specialist. As this took place on a Sunday it was far beyond what I would have expected and was very much appreciated.

To Helen and all of the team at Vetspecs we would like to thank you for your excellence. Our two dogs live life to the full, our only problem now is keeping up with them.
